Celebrating 25 years of Financial Cryptography!
The 25th Financial Cryptography conference (FC21) was originally planned for Grenada in 2021, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic it was held online as a virtual event. We therefore celebrate the first 25 years of FC during the 26th conference (FC22) instead, in Grenada but a year later, with a special anniversary program.
A different anniversary presentation starts each day of the conference. The anniversary program kicks off on Monday with a look back at 25 years of FC history, including where the conference has been held and who has organized it. The anniversary talk on Tuesday morning focuses on the increasing coverage of blockchain technology in recent years. Wednesday's presentation consists of recollections and anecdotes of pioneers from the early days of the conference. The anniversary program concludes on Thursday with a panel—the panelists will lead a discussion on what has changed in the past 25 years, how things stand now, and what changes are expected/speculated in the coming 25 years.
