Getting to Anguilla

Air travel to Anguilla is primarily via San Juan, St. Maarten/St. Martin, and Antigua.  St. Martin is very close to Anguilla and is connected by ferry as well as by plane.  Visas are not required for citizens of most American and European countries; if you are uncertain about whether you need a visa, contact the local British consulate for information.  For detailed information about how to reach Anguilla, as well as customs information and passport requirements, click here.

Free shuttle service will be provided from the Anguilla airport during the weekend preceding the conference.  The van will meet the American Eagle flights from San Juan, and pickups for other flights can be arranged.  Look for the driver wearing an FC T-shirt.

Pickup from the St. Maarten airport by charter boat can also be arranged for a fee for those who arrive after the last ferry departs.

 Local Transportation

The simplest way to get around Anguilla is to rent a car.  You will need to buy an Anguilla drivers license, but this is a formality. Taxis are also available.  Another possibility is to hitch rides from local residents, who are eager to provide them and will often stop to offer rides unsolicited.  Transportation will be provided at specific times between the Sonesta and the InterIsland hotel, and to various conference events.
